- The relationship between dimension ratio, hydrostatic design stress and hydrostatic pressure is as follows for OD sized fittings and pipe:
S = Hydrostatic Design Stress
P = Pressure Rating
D0 = Average Outside Diameter
t = Minimum wall thickness
D0/t = Dimension Ratio
- Except where noted in the catalogue, Molded Fittings are fully pressure rated.
- Socket Fusion Fittings Series 160.
- Butt Fusion Fittings are normally supplied to match the pipe in the system: DR11 Pipe = DR11 Fittings.
- Flange Adapters and Stub Ends - full pressure rating.
- Reducers (Molded) full pressure rating.
- Fabricated Fittings such as Tees, Wyes and Elbows are normally de-rated to approximately 75% of the pressure rating of the pipe that they are made from.
- Butt Fusion Molded Fittings are available in SDR5 - SDR32.5.
- Butt Fusion Fabricated from a Socket Fusion Fitting are available in SDR11 and SDR17.
- Not all Fittings are available in DR5 or DR7. Check with factory.
- Note: Special sizes are available. (i.e. 8"IPS x 200mm) If you have a special requirement, check with factory for availability.
